jh 400x400

John Hammersley has always been fascinated by science, space, exploration and technology. After completing a PhD in Mathematical Physics at Durham University in 2008, he went on to help launch the world's first driverless taxi system now operating at London's Heathrow Airport.

John's now making it easier for scientists to collaborate and publish online as CEO and co-founder of Overleaf, the rapidly growing online collaborative writing and reviewing tool now with over three million users worldwide. He was named as one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars of 2015, is a mentor and alumni of the Bethnal Green Ventures startup accelerator in London, and in his spare time (when not looking after two toddlers!) dances West Coast Swing.

JLM 8005254b(1)sq

John Lees-Miller is co-founder and CTO at Overleaf, a London-based start-up and social enterprise that builds modern collaborative authoring tools for scientists to help make science faster, more open and more transparent.
